Singapore, 27 September 2013 – For the second time in two days, Radar Tires earned another short course off road racing podium finish. Today’s podium was claimed by Jerett Brooks during the Traxxas The Off-Road Championship Series (TORC) non-points season finale race – the Traxxas Cup.

On Friday afternoon, Brooks earned a second place finish during the TORC event in Primm, Nevada. This was Radar Tires’ first short course podium finish.

Brooks, driver of the No. 77 Synergy Electric Nissan, competed in both the TORC Round 16 and the non-points race on Saturday with mixed results. During the Round 16, Brooks quickly ran into trouble and consequently did not finish the race. Brooks spun on the first lap but was able to recover. He worked his way into 10th position and the front axle broke.

The No. 77 ProLight truck was returned to the pits and the race team repaired the broken axle in less than two hours. The quick repair enabled Brooks to compete in the TORC Traxxas Cup race on Saturday afternoon.

In the opening laps, Brooks was running consistent lap times and maintained an eighth place position. On Lap 7, he started his charge to the front. By Lap 12, Brooks reached sixth place, and then on final lap, Brooks was running in third place.

“Following yesterday’s second place finish, we were really amped up for Saturday’s races,” said the 16-year-old Brooks. “Then we had the spin and the axle broke early in the day and I thought we were finished. The team did an awesome job getting the truck repaired so I could compete in the Traxxas Cup race.

“The Traxxas Cup race was tough and those Radar Tires were unbelievable,” continued Brooks. “This weekend was a rollercoaster but in the end, we’re walking away with two podium finishes. Our results helped put Radar Tires on the short course racing map. This was huge for me, the team and Synergy Electric, but I’m thrilled to have been able to race the Radar Tires to these podiums.”

Next up for the Radar Tires is the season finale Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) event at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park in Lake Elsinora, Calif., on Oct. 25-27. In 2013, Radar Tires have been featured at both short course and long course off road racing events. In January, Mike Johnson and co-driver Mike Majesky of Bronson Motorsports were the overall winners at the Mojave Off-Road Racing Enthusiasts (M.O.R.E.) New Years 200 race in Barstow, California, and the Class 10 winners of the 45th Annual SCORE International Baja 500 in Ensenada, Mexico. Johnson, Radar Tires and Bronson Motorsports lead the SCORE International Class 10 points race.

Some of the Radar Tires used this weekend featured the Breast Cancer Research Foundation pink ribbon logo. For every Radar tire sold, Omni United will donate $5 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) with a minimum annual donation of $200,000 and a maximum donation of $250,000.
