Robinson And Coleman Ready For The Best In The Desert Season Opener At The Parker 425 With Radar Tires

Las Vegas, NV, February 6, 2016 – With two talented drivers in the Best in the Desert Series, Radar Tires looks to double its chances for a Class 1000 win at the Parker 425. Jason Coleman and Cody Robinson look to take on the thirty-eight car field in this weekend’s race in Parker, Arizona. Both drivers will be on the unprecedented Renegade R5 M/T, a tire that has proven to take the full distance of the Parker 425 without a change.

“I’m excited to get back to Parker,” said Cody Robinson, “It seems to be one of the biggest races of the year, along with being one of the toughest.” His team has been working overtime in the off season to prepare his Class 1000 car for the kickoff season opener this weekend, “We’ve been doing some drastic suspension changes since our 3rd place at Rage at the River, the car seems to handle a lot better now.” He shares driving duties with his teammate from 2015, Kyle Conlon, “Kyle Conlon will be starting and I will finish out the race. Were confident in our Radar Tires to get us around one of the toughest tracks without issues, hopefully we can be as reliable as them.” Cody will be starting number fifteenth and the eighth pair off of the line as they start two-by-two.

To prove that Coleman Motorsports is ready for a 2016 championship, the first race of the season is going to be his indicator and Jason Coleman is looking forward to it. This year’s Parker 425 is big with 38 cars in Class 1000 alone; the largest car count of the event. Jason was able to pull a third starting position, a position that should help with a good run since he will the second pair off the line.

“We’re going for it and not looking back,” said Jason. “You name it, it’s got it,” Jason continues, “It’s a race that will fatigue the drivers, making it an attrition race as well as one of skill, but we’re going to push hard at the beginning and level off towards the end to ensure we finish.” Parker is a fan favorite as well as a racer favorite, with a long legacy and challenging terrain. It is the first long drive of the open desert season with 425-miles on the planned course. It will be full of big sandy whoops, rocks to slowly crawling over, and fast, open dirt roads. “These Radar Tires are amazing, they take the punishment of the Nevada desert and never change grip,” says Jason.

Gary Blalock, Motorsports Manager for Radar Tires, had this to say “We are jazzed to have both Jason Coleman and Cody Robinson in the Best in the Desert Class 1000 for 2016. We have two very capable cars on the Renegade R5 M/T’s and are in pursuit of podiums this weekend. Both Jason and Cody have been working hard over the winter and their machines are fast and reliable, just like the Renegade R5. We’re looking forward to seeing their efforts will pay off Saturday!” Racing begins on February 6, 2016 and race start will be at 6:00am PST.
