TRAVERSE CITY, MI – October 2nd, 2019 – Omni United, in conjunction with its Radar Tires brand ambassador Jodi Ewart Shadoff, announced the continuation of its “Birdies for BCRF” initiative in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation through its Play for P.I.N.K. partner. Through this program Radar Tires brand ambassador and LPGA Golfer, Jodi Ewart Shadoff will be donating $100 for every birdie that Jodi makes in her Tournaments during the month of October 2019.

Through Birdies For BCRF I hope to be able to bring some additional exposure to this great organization through the LPGA and raise some additional funds for critical life-saving research,” said LPGA Golfer and Brand Ambassador Radar Tires, Jodi Ewart Shadoff.
The program is run through BCRF’s partner organization, Play for P.I.N.K., a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research through sporting and lifestyle events, donating 100% of all proceeds to its sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). BCRF’s Play for P.I.N.K. initiative has raised over $57 million to date and currently encompasses 300 tournaments across 30 states, with over 30,000 golfers, guaranteeing that “Birdies for BCRF” will get broad and targeted exposure.

It was back in 2011 that Omni through its flagship brand Radar Tires started supporting the BCRF. The company has always believed in giving back to society and it was this belief that led Omni to partner and support the BCRF in its mission of preventing and curing breast cancer by advancing the world’s most promising research.
Over the last eight years the company has donated close to $1,158,800 to the foundation that has funded approx. 23,176 hours of critical life-saving research. Additionally, Omni United and Radar Tires have supported BCRF’s cause not just through monetary donations but also through sponsoring and undertaking numerous initiatives to spread awareness for this cause and to bring the work of BCRF to the forefront of society. Some of these initiatives include:
- Launching a limited edition “pink sidewall” tire, sold through a major tire distributor in the US
- Encouraging our customers, tire distributors, dealers and retailers throughout the world to support the BCRF by providing them with in-store displays, pink ribbons and other awareness materials to distribute among customers.
- Displaying the logo of the BCRF on all Radar Tires motorsports team’s racing cars and gear.
- Supporting the BCRF in all international tire fairs and other events in which Omni United and Radar Tires participate.
- Launching awareness related and fundraising programs with our brand ambassador Jodi Ewart Shadoff, especially during Breast Cancer Awareness month.
- Engaging with our dealers at a local level to create awareness and raise funds for this cause.
Omni United’s flagship brand Radar Tires signed Jodi as its brand ambassador in 2016. Throughout the years, Jodi has pledged her support for the BCRF by wearing pink gear and had a specially designed pink golf bag as a symbol of hope and courage to further increase the visibility of the organization.
