Omni United extends our sympathies to the people impacted by Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda – one of the most powerful storms on record that struck Philippines on 8 November 20013. According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), an estimated 11.8 million people were affected and 995,000 people remain displaced. The Philippines government had reported more than 5,000 casualties and at least 1,600 people were still reported missing.
