May 17, 2022
Temperatures in western Europe are about to hit into the mid-30 degrees Celsius which is more than 10 degrees Celsius above the normal temperatures during this period of the year. Although the temperatures are nowhere as near as high as India and Pakistan, some parts of Spain are expected to reach temperature levels of 40 degrees Celsius.
During the early periods of spring, in April 2022, Europe experienced colder than usual temperatures. The weather patterns are quick to change in this era of unprecedented climate crisis. The temperatures are on the rise over the past couple of weeks and are expected to soar more than 10 degrees Celsius above the usual temperatures during this season.
The increasing temperatures are also increasing thunderstorm activities across some parts of Europe which sometimes make a landfall in some regions of UK.
While western Europe is bracing for soaring temperatures, Australia is expecting floods in the next couple of weeks in the north-western part of western Australia. The Queensland region of Australia just got out of a major flood crisis which left many citizens homeless. Despite decreasing rainfall, the river volume is starting to peak currently. In addition, winds of up to 100 mph are expected to hit the same regions that endured floods over the last couple of weeks.
